Wellness travel · Aurum Travel Consulting

A retreat and a rest are not the same trip.

Wellness travel has become a category with a lot of noise in it — programmes, protocols, packages. We plan it differently. We start with how much structure you actually want, then find the setting that matches, and say plainly where a place falls short.

How we approach it

Four questions before a single booking.

Most disappointing wellness trips are not badly run. They are badly matched — the right place for someone else.

01

How much structure do you want?

A guided programme and an open week are opposite experiences. Deciding this first rules out most of the market, which is the point.

02

Can the setting carry the trip?

When the place itself does the work — water, altitude, quiet — you need far less programming on top of it, and the days get easier.

03

Does the distance earn itself?

A long journey needs enough nights to justify it. Arriving depleted for a short stay undoes the reason you went.

04

What is actually included?

Spa access, treatments, tuition and housing are often priced apart. We confirm the real number before you commit to anything.

From the Wellness Edit No. 32

A wellness trip can come with a surprisingly long to-do list. Sunrise sessions. Treatment schedules. A new routine to get right. Before choosing a retreat, it helps to ask how much structure you actually want.

A good itinerary knows when to leave you alone.

Our starting point that week was simpler: an easy arrival, a setting you enjoy, and time you do not have to account for. If a little guidance helps you settle in, there is a place for that, too. The right amount is personal.

The Aurum perspective

What would you like to feel different when you come home?

A quieter mind. More time together. A few days that belong to you. Answer that honestly and the right setting, pace and stay follow from it — which is the part we handle.
